Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kochi – Transfer to Munnar
Arrive in Kochi and begin your scenic journey towards Munnar, passing through lush green landscapes, waterfalls and tea plantations. En route, visit Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls. Arrive in Munnar, check in to the hotel and relax. Evening at leisure amidst the beautiful hills.
Day 2: Munnar – Tea Gardens & Mountain Views
After breakfast, explore the major attractions of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and Munnar Tea Gardens. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Western Ghats and explore the local tea shops. Return to the hotel and spend the evening relaxing in the cool mountain climate.
Day 3: Munnar to Alleppey – Backwater Experience
After breakfast, check out and travel to Alleppey, famous for its peaceful backwaters. On arrival, check in to your houseboat/resort. Enjoy a relaxing cruise through Kerala's scenic canals, coconut-lined waterways and traditional villages. Experience the beautiful sunset over the backwaters and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 4: Alleppey to Kochi – Heritage & City Exploration
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Kochi. Explore the city's historic attractions including Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace. Walk through the charming colonial streets and explore local markets for handicrafts and souvenirs. Evening at leisure.
Day 5: Kochi – Shopping & Departure
Enjoy breakfast and check out from the hotel. Depending on the departure time, visit a local market for Kerala spices, handicrafts and souvenirs. Transfer to Kochi Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, taking home wonderful memories of Kerala.
